Onsite Building Trust was established in 2014 to protect village halls, community centres and sports facilities from closure following local government spending cuts. 
The Trust have managed The Grangefield Centre since its successful community asset transfer from Stockton Borough Council in April 2014.
To support their application to the Tees Valley Business Growth Fund, the Trust invite builders to submit tenders for the external and internal refurbishment works outlined below (these do not include the Sports Hall)

Quotations must be received within 10 days from today, 9th September – Closing date, September 19th, 9pm.

Project Description: External and internal Refurbishment to create additional space for new groups, services and community activities.

Works to include:

External

  • Removal of all external timber glazing covering walls to first floor (see pictures)
  • Supply and fit new PVCU safety windows to replace all existing windows matching existing positions to first and ground floor changing rooms, including internal patching.
  • Fully rebuild main entrance doorway with PVCU windows
  • All external new walls to 1st floor to be cladded with ‘Ceddrol’ Lap Board, or render –  to be decided.
  • 2nd fix joinery to all newly formed walls
  • Provision of scaffolding to facilitate works
  • Removal of all waste materials from site
  • Remove and replace all rotten soffit boards on rear ground floor changing rooms and glass north facing vestibule

Internals

  • Removal of existing kitchen fixtures and fittings and install dividing wall to create 2 rectangular community rooms on 1st floor
  • Make 2 new entrance doors and frame to access new kitchen area
  • Plasterboard and skim all new internal walls.
  • Remove and dispose of all old ceiling grid
  • Supply and fit new ceilings to both rooms and newly formed kitchen with LED lights and separate spots for evening events
  • All electrical works as discussed at site meeting.
  • Fitting out of new formed refreshment rooms, including sink, refrigerator, worktops and storage as drawing provided.
  • Decoration to all four newly formed rooms, colour to be decided.
  • floor coverings from a mid-range laminate to be agreed prior to commencement of works
  • Removal of all waste materials from site.
  • All works in conjunction with drawing provided
  • New high efficiency combi boiler and 8 new radiators to replace existing heating and hot water suppler (isolate old system)
